Dinner. News update for the
Sporting Dinner, originally planned
for June 19th. We have had to
rearrange this event as our speaker,
Graham Gooch, unfortunately finds
himself now unavailable. The new
date is Friday 12 September at
Ramada Hotel, Dover 7.30pm with our
celebrity guest, Comedian, Dave Lee
who will also help with the auction
and raffle. We are delighted that
Dave Lee has agreed to help us out
at short notice and are very much
looking forward to hearing his views
on all things local with that
comedic twist. Tables of 10
cost £400 to include a 3 course
dinner with coffees and limited

Pupils at
Sandwich Technology School are
donating the monies raised for their
annual 10 mile sponsored walk to
Martha Trust this year. Last year it
rained so we are all hoping that the
sun shines this year. All pupils are
invited to contribute a minimum of
£5, so if you know someone walking,
then please support them. Our

enough to drive a car worth less
than £100 from Kent to Rome in less
than three days? We are holding our
first banger rally on 3-5 May 2008
to raise vital funds for Martha
Trust. We provide two nights'

played the championship Links Princes
Golf Course, Sandwich to raise money
for people with disabilities.
Designed for all levels, the Leap
Year Charity Golf Day included
breakfast, shotgun start, 4 ball stapleford golf, 3 course dinner,
auction and prize giving.
Over £4,500 was raised. |

Martha Trust Summer Fete
Martha Trust is seeking teams to compete in the first FUN Martha Trust TUG OF WAR competition on June 23rd 2007. The event will be held at Great Mongeham Village Hall and Green near Deal as part of Martha Trust’s Summer Fete. |

Teams can be up to 6 members strong, but not less than 4, and may be male/female or mixed. Entry cost is £10 per team and the winning team will receive a trophy. Many teams have already signed up to the challenge and are looking to stretch their muscles against other local teams. |

Martha Trust’s Summer Fete celebrates 20 years of the growth and commitment to the needs of people with profound learning and physical disabilities, and also marks the beginning of a 12 month “20th Anniversary” fundraising programme. |

at the opening weekend, and

The Night Run in Luxembourg.
The fabulous Night Run in Luxembourg
is set to attract even more than the
6,500 runners.
The Night Run is a marathon, a half
marathon or a mini marathon of 4.2K
– the choice is yours. If you decide
to take part in the full marathon
you can switch to the half without a
penalty – and this decision doesn’t
have to be taken until the 10 mile
mark!
