Assistant Cook – Deal

HOURS: 16 per week
SALARY: £10.55 per hour plus 50p weekend incentive on Saturday and Sunday

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our small kitchen team at Deal.

This is a role that will enable you to share your love of food with others. You need to be passionate about supporting people with profound and multiple disabilities with their nutritional requirements.

Using residents dietary care plans you will prepare nutritious and tasty meals. You will have a clear understanding of the food textures required by the people we care for, or be willing to undergo the necessary training to gain such knowledge. You will need to be able to follow guidelines and processes to prepare menus independently as pre-planned by the Kitchen Supervisor and will also contribute to the design of these menus.

You will help ensure that the kitchen area and equipment are kept up to required standards of hygiene and cleanliness, helping us to maintain our 5-star hygiene rating.

You must be able to work using your own initiative and drive as once fully trained and confident you will be working on your own to a high standard with minimal supervision. Support is available for anyone who may require adjustments to enable them to work.
