Sarah Hogben, Tunbridge Wells

Sarah Hogben from Tunbridge Wells has successfully completed the Virgin London Marathon on behalf of Martha Trust. Sarah’s running time was just 4 hours and 42 minutes and so far, she’s raised £1,200 for Martha and the money is still coming in.

A lecturer at K College, Sarah teaches students with specific behavioural and learning needs. She chose to run for Martha Trust because of its work, caring for people with profound disabilities at homes in Deal and Hastings:

“Running the Virgin London Marathon was an amazing experience which has given me many wonderful memories. I really didn’t think I had it in me to complete the course but the crowds and support were unbelievable and made my legs work better than I could have expected!

“The only downside of the day was the queues for the toilets along the route but other than that, it’s been a real privilege running for Martha Trust and being part of such an extraordinary event.”
