The Superior Healthcare Group is thrilled to announce its continued partnership with Martha Trust as their Headline Events Sponsor for 2025.
The collaboration is founded on their admiration for the outstanding service provided by Martha Trust to individuals with profound disabilities and the comfort they bring to clients and their families.
Martha Trust is a UK charity that provides lifelong care for individuals with profound physical and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
The charity organises a range of events throughout the year, providing an opportunity for fundraising and raising awareness of the charity’s cause. Superior Healthcare is honoured to be associated with such a fantastic organisation and support them in their fundraising efforts.
“We are delighted to renew our commitment as the Headline Events Sponsor for Martha Trust in 2025,” said Stewart Thorp, CEO of The Superior Healthcare Group. “As a provider that is focused upon providing care and support for people who have complex health needs to live in their own homes as well as working with local care homes to ensure that they have a sufficient number of skilled carers and nurses on duty to care for their residents, we recognise the importance of the amazing work that Martha Trust does. This partnership allows us to work together to enhance the charity’s fundraising efforts and enable our employees to give back to the community by volunteering their time.”
As the Headline Events Sponsor, they will support Martha Trust’s various events and fundraising activities throughout the year, including their German Music Night, Golf Days, Car Challenge – ‘Monte Carlo Madness’, and Martha’s Music on the Farm.
In addition, The Superior Healthcare Group will be providing employees with time away from their desk to volunteer with projects at Martha Trust, fostering a culture of community involvement and social responsibility.
“We are thrilled to have continued our Partnership with The Superior Healthcare Group as our Headline Events Sponsor for 2025,” said Julie Gayler, CEO of Martha Trust. “Their support will help us to raise vital funds for our ongoing work plus their employees’ involvement in volunteering projects will have a significant impact on the people we support.”
The Superior Healthcare Group is excited about the partnership with Martha Trust and is looking forward to working with Martha Trust to make a positive difference in the lives of those with profound disabilities. This collaboration represents an opportunity for both organisations to leverage their strengths and resources, creating a brighter future for those who require their services.

Garry Jenkins & Phil Taylor-Wright from Elipta Ltd took on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon and raised £160 for Martha. Garry is part of a team of four taking part in Martha’s annual car challenge – Monte Carlo Madness.

This will be the second car challenge for one of the team members – Geoff Davies who took part in the 2015 Bonkers in Barcelona event.
The teams all set off from Dover on Saturday 16th September and will arrive in Monte Carlo on the 18th – we wish them all the very best of luck.

The teams for Bonkers in Barcelona set off in the early hours on their 841 mile trip from Dover to Barcelona.
We wish them all the best of luck and look forward to hearing all about their adventure on their return.
The aim of challenge is to raise funds for Martha.
Bonkers in Barcelona wouldn’t have been possible without the support of all our generous sponsors in particular Systems Technology, Sota, Unipet, Ward & Partners and DFDS Seaways.

A team from Miles & Barr estate agents braved torrential downpours to take part in the KM Dragon Boat challenge in aid of Martha. The team named ‘Miles & Barr Destroyers’ was made up of 12 volunteers from across Miles & Barr’s branches including Birchington, Dover, Ramsgate and Discovery Park, Sandwich.
The team performed brilliantly on the day winning all three of their races and raised over £500.

Glorious sunshine greeted guests joining in the fun at the Sandwich Prom held at the magnificent Salutation Gardens.
There was a diverse line up of local musicians, including P & O Ferries Choir, Steve Aiston and the Victory Wartime band amongst others. Terry Nash also known as Meet Loaf kept the audience entertained in between acts and closed the show with his live tribute act which included a surprise duet sung with Steph & Dom.
The charity auction was run with great skill and humour by Steph & Dom and the crowd showed remarkable generosity bidding on various lots.
The success of the day was also down to our kind sponsors – Discovery Park, A Pearson Growers, Puma Generators and East Kent Plumbing & Heating Solutions. And not forgetting our army of volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the event ran smoothly. Special thanks also to Alan Langley of Dover Designs who kindly came along to capture the event on camera.
Everyone’s efforts proved to be very worthwhile, as the event is anticipated to have raised £8,000 towards the work of Martha.
