Meet the Senior Management team
Julie Gayler, CEO
Julie joined Martha in 2009 as Fundraising and Communications Manager. Originally on the marketing team at Mini Babybel, Julie went on to become Head of Marketing & Business Development for Individual Donors and finally Head of Marketing and Customer Communications at the Charities Aid Foundation.
Julie’s role has developed and evolved significantly over the past decade at Martha. Julie is a classic example of how we like to develop people’s careers. Julie was originally appointed in our marketing department and since then has learnt the care roles and has managed all our homes, latterly also holding the posts of Deal Registered Home Manager and Deputy CEO. She has taken the opportunity working with a number of the trustees and alongside George to really hone her skills. The trustees are very excited about her appointment to CEO.
Claire Rogerson – Deputy CEO
Claire started work at Martha Trust in 2009 as a Finance Assistant; she soon moved over to HR where she found a passion for working with people and gained her CIPD qualification. Claire now forms part of the Senior Management team overseeing HR, recruitment and training. Claire loves how every day is different at Martha, and is proud to be working for an organisation that strives to bring out the best in everyone, residents and staff alike.
Phil Linkin, Associate Director Health & Social Care
Phil started his Nursing career in 1983 as a support worker in Bexley Hospital and a year later went on to train as a Nurse. Phil’s first role working with people with multiple physical and learning disabilities came in 1998. A few years later he came to Martha Trust with a brass band to provide entertainment to the residents, staff and relatives. It was at this concert he was recruited as a Nurse by the Martha Team. Phil has gone on to hold a number of roles at Martha including training co-ordinator, Deputy Director of Nursing and Registered Home Manager.
Having worked for Martha over eleven years Phil feels that working with the residents, relatives and staff at Martha has been one of the most rewarding periods of his entire nursing career.
