A taste of summer
On Friday 21st June from 7pm we’ll be holding our annual Wine Tasting in the enchanting gardens of Salutation House, Sandwich.
Leading local independent wine merchant, Hercules Wine Warehouse, will be on hand as guests sample a range of magnificent red, white and rosé wines specially selected for the evening. The wines and canapés will be available at tasting stations dotted throughout the three and a half acres of beautifully restored gardens.
Considered to be one of the finest examples of a Lutyens Jeckyll design in the UK, the gardens boast a tranquil lake and footbridge, a stunning tropical border and the rare Wollemi Pine which dates back to the Jurassic period.
Alongside the wine tasting, guests will be able to take part in Martha’s wine challenge quiz, and raffle and silent auction with prizes including a family ticket for the Sandwich River Bus, a family day ticket to Leeds Castle, 3 months’ membership at Sandwich Leisure Centre, 9 holes of Golf for 2 at Stonelees and a voucher for St Peter’s Restaurant, Sandwich.
The evening will close with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a presentation from the experts at Hercules Wine Warehouse who will share their extensive knowledge of world wines.
Tickets to the Wine Tasting are just £12.50 in advance or £15 on the evening.
