What will this grant fund?

Option A

It would go towards paying for the ‘extra’ therapies that add value to the lives of the residents of our homes. These therapies include music, art, audio visual (lights and sound), massage (hands, feet, head etc.), sensory gardening and hydrotherapy.

Every year we need to raise money for these extras that make the difference between sympathetic, holistic care and just minding someone – the worst cases of which all too regularly make the news.

Option B
We will use the money to pay for the ‘extra’ therapies that add value to the lives of the people we support. These therapies include music, art, audio visual (lights and sound), massage (hands, feet, head etc.), sensory gardening and hydrotherapy.

At Martha we pride ourselves on making the difference to the lives of the people we support. The additional money raised through fundraising ensures they are able to live a fulfilling and active life and goes way beyond the basic level of care that is paid for by Local Authorities.

Who will benefit?

With your support, we will continue to help people with profound disabilities achieve their full potential. It will help our residents and their families, who use our day centre, respite or live at our homes in Deal and Hastings to live life to the full. It will enable us to extend our Hydropool Service to individuals and groups with disabilities.

How many disadvantaged people will it directly help and what will it achieve?

The 44 residents and their families who use our day centre, respite care or live at our homes in Deal and Hastings. The 30+ individuals and groups with disabilities who will use our Hydrotherapy pool when we open it in April in the evenings.
